JRSC intercooler??

Grand600 posted his setup a while back...a search on "intercoolers" would probably yield pictures/info about both the FMIC he tried out as well as the air/water.

I think the cost of the kit was up there...maybe $1200-$1500 if I remember right. Pretty damn expensive, and to be honest with you, he didnt ever sound that enthusiastic, or so I took it.

"SCHYBRID" also fabbed up his own air/water IC, and ended up taking it off.

My only concern is. . . where are the dyno plots? Who wants to spend $1500 on something that they don't even know if it works? Last I checked, a dyno was scheduled. . . but that was MONTHS ago.

He has a good point. Another marketing strategy is quality and craftsmanship. A good example is the Max-Rev turbo kit. They use only top quality parts and show you how good their attention to detail is by proving high quality, up close pictures, and describing the technology behind their design. There is a hot groupbuy on Honda-Tech and they are selling like hot cakes even though I have not seen any dyno graphs of any users YET. When Grand600 and the company (forgot Name) that manufactures it introduced their intercooler, they did not provide enough advertising to make it a desirable product even though many JRSC user need/want an intercooler. They keep to much of a secret and it does not build any of our trust. This kit has been out for a long time and nobody has ever posted saying anything about buying on or using one with any positive or negative remarks let alone dyno graphs/timeslips. Sorry for the ramble but I so darned well wanted to see progress on that kit. If Grand600 is out there please help us out. Thanks

My sentiments exactly 93solsi/gsr! I genuinely want this intercooler to be the "real deal." Hopefully, some dyno plots and timeslips will show one day that it really is.

Couldnt have said it better. I wish there was more information about this kit. It's just that it's sooo damn expensive as well.

The intercooler isnt that expensive if you consider the actual cost of intercoolers for cars. The greddy cooler for the GSR kit is like 900-1100 dollars. Albeit the Drag Kits do come with coolers.

1100-1500 isnt that much to pay considering. I just dont like the Air-Water coolers. I dont like the idea of always having to check the water level and keeping ice in the thing. What would be neat is to mount a Air-Air on top of the blower or off to the side and put a hood scoop on the car. That would be pretty sweet.

Well the person from KLR called me December 24 at about 6;00 PM ,(I was having my Christmas dinner)
and quoted me $450 U.S. for the intake manifold mod!!!
I think i might send it down to them!
I can guaranty you that ,if i do have a kit installed i will post any dyno of my ride once intercooled!!
the only thing is that i cant post any dyno's of BEFORE cause i'm doing a JDM GSR+JRSC ,10 psi(intercooled) swap all at the same time !
But i'm sure some of you should konw what a 97 JDM B18C JRSC, 10 psi with Hondata 2B(type R tranny) does on the dyno!!!

I really can't afford (time wise) to install everything then dyno,then reinstall intercooler then dyno!!!
I konw that a GSR with JRSC @10psi and Hondata should be around 225 to 240 hp at the wheels
so we'll go from there!!! [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]
